The government has decided that Ayushman cards will be made for free treatment of all Antyodaya card holders. For this, a special campaign is also going on at the district and tehsil level. Under the campaign, a target has been set to make Ayushman card for all the members of the Antyodaya card holder family.

Right now the Antyodaya card holders (antyodaya ration card) do not have Ayushman card available. They can complete their process by going to the concerned department. After getting the eligible beneficiary card, Ayushman card can be made for all the family members by showing the Antyodaya ration card in the public service center, community health center, private hospital connected to Ayushman panel or district hospital.

Will not have to worry about treatment
At present, new Ayushman cards are not being made by the government. Cards are being made only for the beneficiaries whose names are already in the scheme. The government’s plan is that Antyodaya card holders do not have to wander for treatment in case of any health-related problem. Instructions have been given to the District Supply Officer for this from the government level as well.

Who gets Antyodaya card?
Antyodaya ration card is given to families below the poverty line (BPL). Through this card, the beneficiary gets food items every month at a cheaper price. A total of 35 kg of wheat and rice is given to the card holders. For this, wheat has to be paid Rs 2 per kg and rice Rs 3 per kg.
