China’s reaction on Quad meeting
However, China has criticized the Quad meeting, saying that the aim of the talks should be peace and development. Both countries should contribute to regional stability and pay attention to each other. Explain that in the meeting of the quad countries, the foreign ministers of India, Australia, America and Japan reiterated the commitment of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
What is quad group?
Significantly, Quad is a group of India, Australia, Japan and America. The Quad meeting held in India was attended by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and his Australian counterpart Penny Wong. In the Quad meeting, all four expressed concern over the increasing aggression of China in the Indo-Pacific region.
