Competition held this year
But the competition is special because people draw it with their heads, not with their hands. Actually, the suction cup is pasted on their head, and then with the help of that they pull the rope towards them. The person from whose head the suction cup comes out first, is defeated. People make a lot of plans to win. Many people apply substances like oil on the head so that the suction cup sticks faster. For the last 3 years, this competition was not held due to Corona, so when it was organized on 22 February this year, people took part in it enthusiastically. This year Mr. Ota has become the winner, who is getting this award for the third time.
Because of this the tournament started
The competition was started in 1989 by the Suruta Hagemasu Association. He believed that through this competition, he would instill a sense of self-esteem and confidence in bald men. The reason behind starting this was that after hair fall, men often start considering themselves inferior and their morale gets lost. This competition was started to make such men feel victorious. On seeing it, it took such a big form that now it is also known as “National Sucker Tug of War Tournament”.
